The mission of the St. Francis of Assisi Food Pantry is to provide non-perishable grocery items to help needy families in our parish. Throughout the year, canned goods are deposited by parishioners into donation bins, which are located at every entrance of the church. There are also two biannual food drives, one in the spring and one in the fall, where we received contributions our parish family and generous donations from local companies and organizations.

The fall food drive also coincides with the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Basket distribution, which feed 250 parish families in need. Volunteers of all ages contribute their time and talent to the pantry throughout the year by helping sort and distribute items.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a Catholic lay organization dedicated to the spiritual growth of its members through prayer and reflection, mutually supportive gatherings, adherence to a basic Rule, and person-to-person service to the poor and needy. Our members are drawn from every ethnic and cultural background, age group and economic level and are united in an international society of charity by the spirit of poverty, humility and sharing.

As part of our apostolate, we visit clients in their homes to assess their needs and offer solidarity, prayer, encouragement and guidance. The Society collaborates with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served because, in them, we see the face of Christ.
