CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF THE ARCHDIOCESE OF MIAMI LAUNCHES RELIEF FUND FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY HURRICANE MILTON

Miami Shores, FL (October 9, 2024) – In response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Milton across the state of Florida,
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami Inc. is establishing a dedicated donation fund to assist those affected by the hurricane.

Monetary donations can be made at Catholic Charities’ website. One hundred percent of all funds received will be directed to providing humanitarian relief and assistance to those affected by Hurricane Milton.

Even those who do not agree with the Church teaching that human life begins at conception should find reasons to oppose this amendment. The amendment, for example, would effectively overturn or seriously jeopardize common-sense state laws that have regulated abortion for years.

These include basic health and safety requirements for centers where abortions are performed, requireing a physician to perform abortions, informed consent requirements, laws limiting public abortion funding of abotion, and parental consent requirements before a minor's abortion.

Amendment 4 will appear on the November 5, 2024, ballot and require approval from 60% of the electorate to pass.
