The Sacraments of Christian Initiation

Children must have passed the examinations for all the educational levels leading to First Communion.
Children must have a record of at least thirty (30) weeks of Sunday Mass attendance in the prior twelve (12) months.

Educational materials are available in both English and Spanish to assist parents in bringing their children to Christ and to a mature understanding of the foundation of the Faith.
Parents are responsible for the costs of educational materials.
Classes are offered by the Catechists of Our Lady of Lourdes to assist parents in bringing their children to Christ and to a mature understanding of the foundations of the Faith.
Children pass from one educational level to another through a series of written examinations.
Children can take the examinations as often as necessary in order to pass to the next level of education.
Children are also responsible for regular and active participation at Sunday Mass.
Attendance at Sunday Mass is established through the use of either the Faith Direct attendance cards or parish envelopes; both of which include the family’s parish identification number.
