Welcome to our parish Latest News

Third Sunday of Lent | Bulletin of March 08, 2026 Message from Msgr. Schwanger

My Dear Family of Our Lady of Lourdes,

Lent is well begun.
Ash Wednesday saw the whole parish family gathered to “Repent and believe in the Gospel.” As we make the Stations of the Cross, we journey with Jesus through His passion and death and are there to share His resurrection. Our Friday Stations of the Cross is an opportunity to make that journey together but there is also the opportunity to make the Stations on our own and in small groups. The Church and Chapel are open from the morning Mass through to the end of the evening Mass and we have Stations in both the main church and the chapel. We also have Stations available at any hour at the Outdoor Altar as well our new Stations behind our Processional Virgin that are accessible to those who are in wheelchairs.

This weekend we have moved the monthly Eucharistic Procession forward to Sunday after the 1:30 Mass so that Fr. Daubanes, the rector of the Sanctuary of Lourdes, could be with us. It is always a joy to have him here and he will be the main celebrant at the 1:30 Spanish Mass.

As we look forward to this coming week, I want to highlight the Parish Lenten Mission. Fr. Eduardo will be preaching the mission this year. It is my regular practice to ask the new parochial vicar to preach the upcoming Advent or Lenten Mission. It gives us the chance to get to know him better and allows him to go more deeply in preaching Christ than is possible in a Sunday homily. Fr. Eduard will preach the mission in English on Monday, in Spanish on Tuesday, and in French on Wednesday.

What a blessing this is for us.
I encourage you not to miss it!

Msgr. Schwanger
Pastor
