Welcome to our parish Latest News

Second Sunday in Ordinary Time | Bulletin of January 18, 2026 Message from Msgr. Schwanger

Dear Parish Community,

The Gospel according to Saint John recalls the witness of John the Baptist, who, upon seeing Jesus, proclaimed: “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). John did not seek recognition or personal gain; he clearly understood that his mission was to bear witness to Christ through his life, his service, and his generous self-giving.

Our Parish Festival 2026 is not merely a social gathering. It is an expression of faith and a tangible opportunity to bear witness to God’s love through service to others.

This festival plays an essential role in supporting the mission of our parish, including catechesis, the formation of our children and youth, charitable outreach to those in need, and the ongoing care and maintenance of our church facilities.

Imagine a family arriving at our parish festival: children welcomed with joy, families strengthened through shared moments, and individuals returning to the Church after years because they felt genuinely received. These moments do not occur by chance. They are made possible because someone sold a raffle ticket, someone volunteered their time, someone served food, someone offered a talent, or someone assisted in festival operations. That person can be you.

Today, I extend a sincere pastoral invitation to our entire community: let us be witnesses of Christ, following the example of John the Baptist. Our witness must go beyond words and be expressed through concrete actions. This includes serving joyfully as volunteers, assisting at food booths and activity stations, supporting logistical efforts, purchasing and selling raffle tickets, and contributing time, talents, and resources according to each person’s ability. Through this collaboration, we do more than support the parish—we evangelize, strengthen our community, and make Christ present through our generosity.

As John declared, “I have seen and I testify” (John 1:34), so too can we bear witness through our participation, our service, and our commitment to this church, our spiritual home. I warmly invite you not to remain on the sidelines. This festival requires the involvement of each member of our community, and your participation truly matters. Every effort is valuable, every gesture contributes, and every offering becomes a meaningful testimony of our faith.

May the Lord grant us generous and willing hearts, and may Parish Festival 2026 stand as a true witness of Christ in our midst.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Fredy Yara
Parochial Vicar
