All Saints | Bulletin of November 01, 2026 Message from Msgr. Schwanger
My Dear Family of Our Lady of Lourdes,
As I mentioned last week in my column, in the next few years we will have some major repair expenses as we get the property ready for our next chapter. The property isn’t the only part of the parish that we are getting ready for our next chapter. We are also taking this opportunity to reimagine the work of the parish office; how to better receive and help both the individual who reaches out for help and our parish ministries. Helping our parish ministries to be successful in their missions is an important part of the mission of the parish office.
Part of that reimagining is to discern how best to structure and use the physical plant that we have. Another part is to reexamine the workflow at the office. We are designing a new full-time administrative assistant position that will assume the clerical responsibilities of the office and manage any part-time staff that we might use throughout the years. That person would need to be able to communicate in both English and Spanish and be competent in the various software programs that we utilize, or able to learn them quickly. To be already familiar with Smartsheet would be a plus.
As things unfold, I am sure we will discover other personnel and IT needs. We will cross those bridges when we come to them. For now, if you are interested in the full-time administrative assistant position, please let Sandra know at sandra@ololourdes.org. Our Lady of Lourdes Church is a tremendous blessing for the people of Miami and even beyond. We can be proud of what, by God’s grace, we have been able to do so far, and embrace with confidence and enthusiasm the work, the life, which lies ahead!
