Welcome to our parish Latest News

First Sunday of Lent | Bulletin of February 22, 2026 Message from Msgr. Schwanger

My Dear Family of Our Lady of Lourdes,

As we wrap up our celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes with the Geste de l’Eau this weekend, our hearts are filled with wonder and gratitude. God is so good to us. I again want to thank everyone who came together to make these days possible and the whole parish family for coming out to celebrate.

I mentioned last week that Fr. Fredy’s leadership helped to take our parish festival to a whole new level. The entertainment was great and everyone had such a fun time. I will publish a final report after we pay all the bills, but I am sure that this year’s festival was the most successful in the history of the parish! And that deserves to be celebrated.

I want to invite everyone who has served during these days of celebration to a party in your honor. I want you to have the chance to relax and enjoy the fruit of your labor. I am currently planning the party for May 8th, after Lent is over, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm in Our Lady of Lourdes Hall. If you plan to attend, please let the head of your ministry know so that we can be prepared to receive everyone. It is going to be a great night.

Speaking of Lent, it has arrived. Lent, lived well, sets us free to live wholly for the Lord and so is an open door to happiness. I invite you to give yourselves to this season of preparation and to celebrate fully Holy Week and Easter when it arrives. Included with this bulletin is a full-page version of our Lent schedule so that you can easily remove it and keep it on your bulletin board or refrigerator and refer to it often. I’ll send along the Holy Week and Easter schedule as they get closer.

Taking advantage of all that is happening at the parish during Lent, the Resurrection of Christ will shine even more brightly for us and through us.
Happy Lent.

Msgr. Schwanger
Pastor
